Training and Support

Bradford CVS offers various kinds of support and help for your group. As well as direct support to groups (see below) we can also offer training information and courses(see below), help with getting funded, and specialist support for community centres, as well as having various resources available through this website or by contacting us.

Training

CVS Training co-ordinates and delivers training to develop the capacity of voluntary and community groups in the Bradford District. We offer:

  • A programme of training on topics such as management skills, health and safety, fundraising, financial management, volunteer management, communication and interpersonal skills and organisational development
  • In-house tailored training for management committees on governance, committee skills and organisational development
  • Help with skills audits and training needs analyses
  • Information on a wide range of training providers delivering organisational development and capacity building training to the voluntary and community sector

Support for your group

With funding from Bradford Metropolitan District Council's Neighbourhood Service, Bradford CVS can offer FREE support to new and existing voluntary organisations in the Bradford North, South and West constituencies with:

  • drafting constitutions
  • effective working and development of the organisation
  • policies and procedures
  • development planning
  • organisational health check
  • signposting to other areas of development support
